Tools for reading Japanese and Chinese on the reader. Everything runs in your browser and your files never leave your device, except where you choose Google's Gemini under your own API key: manga panel images for text recognition, or a book's text for AI furigana and pinyin.
Manga Converter
Turn a CBZ, EPUB, PDF, or a folder of page images into the reader's manga format — manga, manhua and comics alike, with panel detection, text recognition of the speech bubbles, and translations into your language.
Dictionary Converter
Build the reader's Word Lookup dictionary: a Chinese or Cantonese one in one click (with HSK/TOCFL levels, jyutping and example sentences), or convert your own Japanese, Chinese or Cantonese dictionaries (Jitendex, JMnedict, CC-CEDICT, CC-Canto, MDict…).
Furigana & Pinyin
Add furigana to a Japanese EPUB, or pinyin or zhuyin to a Chinese one, shown above the text on the reader and switched off with a toggle. From a built-in dictionary, or read in context by AI.
Font Converter
Convert TTF/OTF fonts (Japanese or Chinese reading fonts, for instance) into
.cpfont files for the SD card, with kerning and ligatures.
Getting files onto the device
Each tool downloads a zip laid out for the SD card. Either unzip it onto the card with a card reader, or use the reader's built-in Wi-Fi web file transfer to upload the files.
